MidAmerica Foods COOKN EASY Meal Plan NOV. 2011 ORDER

Did you like our Meal Plan HERE, but the list of ingredients is just a little too long for your time or budget?  Please don't worry -

Here's basically the same dishes but with substitutions to make it quicker, easier and CHEAPER!  SUBSTITUTIONS are in bold

Lemon-Broccoli Rice with Chicken
By: PHILADELPHIA Cooking Creme 

    1 tablespoon oil
    1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
    1 tsp GARLIC POWDER
    1 (10 ounce) tub PHILADELPHIA Original Cooking Creme
    2 cups frozen broccoli florets, thawed
    1/2 TSP LEMON PEPPER ($1 @Dollar Tree) 
    2 cups hot cooked rice

Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add chicken, GARLIC POWDER; cook 5 to 6 min. or until chicken is done, stirring frequently.
Add cooking creme and broccoli; cook and stir 2 min.  Add LEMON PEPPER and stir.
Serve over rice.

Slow-Cooked Shredded Pork Recipe ALTERNATIVE

    Prep: 15 min. Cook: 6 hours

Ingredients

    1 boneless whole pork loin roast
    1 large onion, thinly sliced
    1 Cup Water
    1 BOTTLE OF YOUR FAVORITE BBQ SAUCE
    8 sandwich rolls, split

Directions

    Place the roast in a 3-qt. slow cooker. Top with onion. Combine WATER AND BBQ SAUCE. Pour over roast.  Cover and cook on low for 6 to 6-1/2 hours or until meat is tender.
    Remove pork; shred with two forks. Return meat to cooking juices; heat through. Use a slotted spoon to serve on rolls. Yield: 8 servings.

EASIER SWEDISH MEATBALLS


Frozen Meatballs 
Package of Egg Noodles
1 jar  (12 oz.) or PACKET OF BEEF GRAVY
1/2 cup Sour Cream
Prepare Frozen Meatballs and Egg Noodles according to package directions.  Heat up JAR OF GRAVY in saucepan per directions and stir in sour cream until heated.  Mix in meatballs, and then pour over prepared noodles.

Simple Tomato Sauce for Chicken Parmigiano
A Great topping for your Breaded Chicken!


1 Jar or Can of PREPARED SPAGHETTI SAUCE
1/2 Cup canned PARMESAN CHEESE
1 pound spaghetti, cooked to al dente

Set water on to boil for pasta and prepare according to package directions for al dente\
Heat up PASTA SAUCE

Place a little of the sauce on the chicken tenders, top with the PARMESAN CHEESE. Coat the hot, cooked pasta lightly with sauce then serve.

Simple Vegetable Beef Soup- Prepare per original recipe

Produce:
2 onion
4 potatoes
8 cubes beef bouillon, crumbled
GARLIC POWDER
LEMON PEPPER

Canned/Condiments:
1 tablespoon cooking oil
1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 CAN PREPARED PASTA SAUCE

Dry Goods:
1 pound spaghetti, cooked to al dente
Salt and pepper
1 bag wide egg noodles
2 cups hot cooked rice
8 sandwich rolls, split

Dairy:
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
2 cups milk
2 eggs
1/2 cup sour cream
